Alan Cooper has been designing and making bespoke furniture for more than 30 years.

Although Alan's work is rooted in traditional furniture-making and cabinetmaking skills, he also uses modern 3D CAD software as part of the design process.
Using FormZ Pro, Alan can develop detailed models and drawings before work begins, helping clients understand how a proposed piece will look within their home.
These visualisations also allow proportions, materials and practical details to be refined before the furniture reaches the workshop, combining traditional craftsmanship with an accurate and collaborative design process.

Alan's experience spans more than three decades of furniture design and making.
Over the years, his work has included kitchens, fitted and freestanding furniture, libraries, staircases, veneered cabinetry and specialist one-off commissions.
He has also worked extensively within period properties, where sympathetic design, careful fitting and an understanding of the building's character are especially important.
Today, Alan increasingly focuses on bespoke timber furniture and individual commissions that allow craftsmanship, quality materials and thoughtful design to take centre stage.
