With over 30 years of experience, Alan Cooper designs and handcrafts bespoke furniture from his workshop in Ford, Buckinghamshire.
Specialising in wooden furniture and individual commissions, Alan works closely with each client to create pieces that are practical, beautifully proportioned and entirely personal to their home.
From solid oak tables and freestanding cabinets to home bars, libraries, kitchens and unusual fitted pieces, every project begins with the same approach: thoughtful design, quality materials and careful craftsmanship.
Furniture is made to order using high-quality, responsibly sourced materials, combining traditional cabinetmaking skills with contemporary design and an emphasis on longevity.

Focussing locally. (Almost all customers are within 25 miles of Alan's workshop, just outside Aylesbury)

Using high-quality materials like European Oak, which are sustainably sourced
Reducing waste through careful planning, cut lists and material storage
Alan’s approach is a little like music. Trends come and go, and fast-changing fashions can be harmful to sustainability as one style is quickly replaced by the next. But true classics endure. Well-designed, beautifully made furniture, like great art or music, can remain valuable and appreciated for a lifetime.
